For dancers ages 3-4 years old, this class introduces basic ballet and tap techniques along with creative movement and dance vocabulary in a structured class environment. Students develop rhythm, coordination, and movement while building their confidence and self-esteem.
For dancers ages 5-6 years old, this class reviews and builds on the basic ballet and tap technique learned in Primary I as well as introducing new vocabulary and movements in a structured class environment. This class is designed to help dancers transition into our Petite classes.
This class is designed for dancers ages 5-6 years old. This class introduces basic acrobatic skills, creative movement, and dance vocabulary and technique in a structured class environment. Students develop rhythm, coordination, and movement while building their confidence and self-esteem.
For dancers ages 5-6 years old, this class is an introduction to Jazz with Hip-Hop infusion and incorporates coordination, movement, visual stimulation, and games to keep the dancers learning and having fun.
The ballet program teaches dancers strong techniques through traditional ballet. Students learn proper placement, turnout, technique, and vocabulary in a disciplined environment while developing strong work ethics and a solid technique foundation in a positive atmosphere. We highly recommend all dancers take at least one ballet class per week. Pointe classes are incorporated into the Ballet 4 class and are by teacher approval only!
Jazz focuses on building strong technique, strength, and flexibility. Classes incorporate stretching, across-the-floor combinations, and choreography. Students learn different turns, jumps, leaps, and extensions while incorporating them into many different styles of jazz.
The tap program concentrates on both rhythmic and classical tap methods. Students learn vocabulary, rhythmic timing, improvisation, and choreography across the floor and in choreography.
Contemporary classes fuse together ballet, jazz, lyrical, and modern dance styles. This style of dance challenges dancers to grow as artists through movement. Dancers will work across the floor and with choreography throughout the season.
This fun and upbeat class integrates many different styles of hip-hop including pop and lock, street, and break dancing. Students learn isolation of movement and body control techniques and choreography as well as trending dance moves in pop culture.
This class incorporates gymnastic technique, flexibility training, stunting, and partner work. Dancers will work on flexibility and strength training, as well as, building interpersonal and group working skills.
This class is designed for dancers ages 7 and older. In this class, dancers will work on technique, performance, and building stamina. This class should be taken as a supplement to regularly scheduled technique classes. Technique classes do not perform in recital.
Our competition team trains 2-4 days a week in a variety of styles. They also travel to 3 competitions, 1 convention, and one national event each season.
