Planet Dance Competition Team
What is the Competition Team?
Planet Dance's Competition Team is for dancers ages 6 and up, who are looking for more performance opportunities, and are ready to take their training to the next level. Dance team members train 2-4 days a week, in a variety of styles, to grow their technique and performance abilities.
Competition Team members are required to take weekly technique classes, in addition to their weekly team rehearsals. The competitive season runs from August to June each year.
Planet Dance offers three levels of competition teams:
- Petite Team (ages 6-7)
- Competition Team (ages 8+)
- Elite Team (ages 8+)
How can my dancer participate?
All dancers, both new and returning, must attend the Summer Technique Intensive, which serves as their audition. Dancers must be at least 6 years old, with at least one year of dance training, to audition.
