Planet Dance Competition Team
What is the Competition Team?
Planet Dance's Competition Team is for dancers ages 5 and up, who are looking for more performance opportunities and are ready to take their training to the next level. Dance Team members train 2 - 4 days a week, in a variety of styles, to grow their technique and performance abilities.
Competition Team members are required to take weekly technique classes, in addition to their weekly team rehearsals. The competitive season runs from August to June each year.
Planet Dance offers three levels of Competition Teams:
- Ages 5-7
- Ages 8-12
- Ages 13+
Auditions are Saturday, July 18
All dancers, both new and returning, must attend the Competition Dance Team Audition.
Auditions are on Saturday, July 18. Dancers should arrive 10 minutes early to sign in. Dancers should bring jazz shoes, tap shoes, and sneakers.
Ages 5-8 | 9:15-10am
Ages 9-12 | 10:15-11:15am
Ages 13+ | 11:30am-12:30pm
Dancers must be at least 5 years old with at least one year of dance training to audition. For more information, please email team@planetdancesummerville.com.
